Dopo una giornata intera passata in fiera alla ricerca di tracolle dal sapore peruviano per un progetto al quale sto lavorando in questo momento, l'unico post possibile oggi è questo.

La mia mente, popolata come al solito da mille pensieri confusi, ha deciso di concentrarsi per 10 ore su uno soltanto.

Dopo tante stagioni di stampe hippy, africane, ispirate ai foulard, quel pezzo di mondo meraviglioso che è il sudamerica si è mostrato in passerella e nella vita reale.

Colori e geometrie che si mescolano naturalmente a sapori più occidentali, creando un meltigpot insolito ed affascinante.

Stamattina la mia mente si è ripopolata di pensieri ed idee che si avvicendano in modo vorticoso...ora mi riconosco!

After an whole day spent in the leather fair, looking for shoulder strap with a Peruvian flavour for a work project, this is the only possible post.

My mind, tha usually is occupied by thousand confused thought, for 10 hours decided to have only one thought.

After many season of hippy, african and foulard pattern, the beautiful part of the world that is south america now is on the catwalks and aslo on the real life.

Colours and geometry that naturally match with western flavours, making an unusal and good meltingpot.

This morning my mind is occupied again by a lot of thoughts and ideas that moved in a dizzy way...now I recognize myself!

Pied-de-poule. Ci riporta al passato, ad immagini di donne raffinate, a passeggiate sul lungomare mare quando la riviera era una perla ed andarci era davvero chic, a uomini campioni di galanteria, a corteggiamenti romantici, a borsette portate a mano, a cappelli e guanti, ad eleganti macchine vintage, a serate danzanti in cui le donne si vedevano tendere la mano di un cavaliere speranzoso nel gesto di invitarle a ballare.

Giocare, con questa stampa che più classica non si può, con le dimensioni diverse tra loro, grande per la giacca (fatta da me!) e piccola per la gonna. Giocare con le proporzioni e le figure trasformate da angolazioni sbagliate.

Giocare con i colori. Bianco, nero e rosso...intramontabili.

Tutto iniziò nel lontano 1970, quando il denim a zampa di elefante la faceva da padrone, quando nascevano radio e radioamatori, c'erano il boom dell'industria e le proteste, il color block, il borsello per l'uomo, il total knit, Bianca Jagger, la polaroid, i radical chic, Talitha Getty, lo Studio 54 e gli anni mitici di New York City, la finta pelle, uno stile di vita casual, le gite fuori porta, la carta da parati, le tende a grosse stampe floreali, i colori arancio, mattone, verdone, i dolcevita, workwear e skywear.

Tutto questo e molto altro sono gli anni '70, gli anni che mi hanno vista nascere, e che ora sono tornati prepotentemente sulle passerelle, nei nostri armadi, nelle nostre case.
